Our Story
Heartwood Millwork was founded by Bruno Pinheiro, a carpenter and cabinetmaker who built the company from the job site up. Our philosophy is simple: Nothing Extra. Nothing Missing. Every line, joint and reveal has a reason to be there.
One team handles the whole process: design and 3D renderings in-house, precision CNC fabrication in our own Massachusetts shop, and installation by our own finish carpenters - for homeowners, builders and architects across Greater Boston, the South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands.
FORMERLY CUPERTINO'S CARPENTRY
Why Heartwood
For years our work was known as Cupertino's Carpentry - a family name that earned its reputation one job site at a time across Greater Boston, the South Shore, Cape Cod and the Islands. As we grew into a full millwork shop, with in-house design, CNC fabrication and dedicated finish carpentry crews, we decided our name should stand for the craft itself rather than a family name - a name that belongs to every carpenter, cabinetmaker and designer on our team.
Heartwood is the dense center of a tree: the oldest, strongest and most stable part of the wood, prized by woodworkers for its rich color, durability and natural resistance to decay. It is the part that holds the whole tree up. That is what we want to be for every homeowner, builder and designer we work with - the solid core of the project.
Same people. Same standards. Same number: 781-588-2034. Just a name that finally says what we do.
The Shop
Our shop is where drawings become parts. Cabinet boxes and components are cut on our CNC for repeatable accuracy, then assembled, finished and checked before they reach your home. That control is how we deliver clean details and tight schedules.
